Lessons Built Around You
We'll build lessons around the music you like, the way you learn, and what you actually want to be able to play.
Whether that's learning your favorite songs, playing rock and metal riffs, strumming around a campfire, improvising a solo, writing your own music, or simply learning your first few chords. We'll start with what makes you excited to play.

Meet Your Teacher
I've been playing guitar, writing songs and recording music for years.
My teaching philosophy is simple: I want to help you make the kind of music that made you want to pick up a guitar in the first place.
Lessons are personalized to each student, and I can create custom tabs, exercises and Guitar Pro materials to help you keep learning between lessons.

FAQS
-
Not at all. Complete beginners are welcome. If you've never played a note before, we'll start there. If you've been playing for years but feel stuck, we'll start wherever you are.
-
Kids, teens and adults. For younger children, contact me first and we can figure out whether a 30-minute lesson would be a good fit.
-
I'm most at home with rock, alternative, metal, punk, pop, country and acoustic guitar. Lessons aren't built around a fixed curriculum, though, so bring me the music you're interested in learning.
-
That depends on your goals. We can work on songs and riffs, chords, rhythm, lead guitar, scales, improvisation, picking techniques, songwriting, music theory and more.
-
You don't need to study theory before you can make music. I prefer teaching theory as it becomes useful, learning a concept and then actually using it on the guitar.
-
No. Depending on what we're learning, we can use tablature, chord diagrams, recordings, Guitar Pro and traditional notation when useful.
-
Yes. When helpful, I can create custom tabs, exercises and Guitar Pro materials based on what we're working on so you know exactly what to practice.
-
Absolutely. There isn't one correct way to learn guitar. Lessons can be adjusted around different learning styles, attention spans and interests, and if one approach isn't clicking, we'll try another.
-
Electric or acoustic is fine. Bring your guitar and a pick if you use one.
Don't have a guitar yet? Contact me before buying one and I'll be happy to help point you in the right direction.
-
Yes. You'll need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, your guitar and a decent internet connection.
-
Lessons are available in Orting, Washington. Exact location/details can be provided when scheduling.
-
That's completely fine. Part of the first lesson can simply be figuring out what kind of player you'd like to become and finding some music to start with.
-
No. Individual lessons are available. The four-lesson packages are there for students who want consistent weekly lessons at a lower per-lesson price.
-
Your guitar, a pick if you use one, and if you have one in mind, a song, artist or style you're excited about. If you have no idea what you want to learn yet, that's fine too.
-
Payment is due at the time of the lesson or when purchasing a lesson package. I accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and credit/debit cards through Square.
